Colorado Equine Clinic is a privately owned, family-operated veterinary hospital located in Littleton, Colorado. Established at our current location in 1994, we serve a growing region within the Denver metro area and operate without corporate ownership or external shareholders. Decisions are made locally with long-term stability and patient care as the priority.
Our equine service focuses heavily on performance horses. We have invested extensively in modern equipment, including updated digital radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and dental systems. We believe in equipping our team with high-quality tools and maintaining strong clinical standards.
In March 2026, we are launching the Colorado Small Animal Clinic that will initially operate two days every other week, with planned growth as demand increases. This full-time mixed animal technician position offers the opportunity to participate at the ground level of that expansion within an established and stable practice.
This role combines equine technical support (majority of weekly schedule) with small animal clinical leadership on designated clinic days. On small animal days, you will work directly with the small animal DVM to deliver efficient, high-quality care and help establish practical workflows as the service develops.
This is not a high-volume corporate environment. You will work closely with doctors and ownership in a small, collaborative setting with meaningful input into how systems are built.
Benefits include:
$24–$26/hr DOE
Contribution toward health insurance through marketplace plan
Retirement package
Paid time off
Uniform allowance
Discounted cost of goods
$500 annual stipend (FTE) toward your own animals’ care
Reimbursement for continuing education initiatives at a rate exceeding many competing practices
If you are seeking clinical variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing mixed-animal practice in a boutique environment, we encourage you to apply.
About Colorado Equine Clinic / Colorado Small Animal Clinic
Colorado Equine Clinic and Colorado Small Animal Clinic is a full-service general practice clinic focused on providing advanced, compassionate and personalized care to your cats, dogs, and horses. We have been an established veterinary practice in the Roxborough/Littleton area for the last 25 years, providing high quality care to all animals. We aim to take the personalized, relationship-driven style of medicine that we have developed over the years and provide the same service to our small animal clients. What does this mean to our patients and clients? It means that they are part of a practice that wants to spend the time to know them and their pet, talk about any of their questions and concerns, and provide the kind of veterinary-client-patient relationship that gets lost in the hustle an bustle of corporate medicine. There are a lot of words thrown out for corporate values and practice culture, often they sound the same no matter where you go. We believe in excellent work and compassionate care, as almost every veterinary practice does. That is not what sets up apart. We focus on the relationships we have with our clients and their pets, helping people by helping their animals.... We exemplify this through the time we take. Our appointments are a little longer, we see fewer patients in the day so that each individual can get our full attention, so every client has an opportunity to ask questions. We believe veterinary medicine is a partnership between the veterinarian and the animal owner. It is our job to advise, educate, and provide expert services and treatments. It is just as important that clients understand what, why, and how we are helping their pets, so that they can make informed decisions, administered the best at-home treatments, and help their pets live a longer, happier life. If you are interested in working for a veterinarian that practices a high quality of medicine and offers advanced therapies that has the culture and mentality of a small, family-owned business then Colorado Equine Clinic / Colorado Small Animal Clinic may be the right place for you. Our state-of-the-art facility includes a full surgical suite, new-model Digital Radiography, dental tools, & Ultrasounds, a one-of-a-kind lameness pad offering unique lameness diagnostic capabilities, chiropractic and acupuncture services, a therapeutic class IV laser and an in house laboratory which includes the capability of processing blood for platelet rich plasma and other regenerative treatments.
