Reporting to the dean, the CAO is a senior position providing leadership and oversight in the strategic financial and infrastructure analysis and decision-making for the CVSG, guiding the future of the school’s clinical and diagnostic activities toward the school’s strategic vision. The CAO will work directly with the hospital and clinic directors, the senior financial persons in each unit, Tufts Budget Center, and the Cummings School’s dean’s office. The Chief Administrator is expected to facilitate collaboration and integration across the CVSG.

The Foster Hospital for Small Animals (FHSA) and the Hospital for Large Animals (HLA) in North Grafton, MA provide state-of-the-art, 24-hour, emergency, and multi-specialty care for small animals (FHSA) and large animals (HLA). They are the two largest hospitals in the CSVG. Tufts Veterinary Field Service provides ambulatory care for large animals in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
