Oakridge Equine Hospital, located in Edmond, OK, just north of Oklahoma City, is seeking an equine surgeon with a strong interest in lameness and sports medicine to join our team!
Our veterinary staff consists of five board certified surgeons with whom you can collaborate, as well as a robust internship program and a full support staff. The ideal candidate must be boarded or have completed surgical residency training, is enthusiastic, enjoys team collaboration, and is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care. We have a wide-range referral base encompassing all of Oklahoma, and extending into Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. Caseload consists primarily of Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses, with disciplines ranging from racing and rodeo to pleasure riding.
Located on 12 scenic acres, our well-equipped facility offers arthroscopic, orthopedic, soft tissue, and laser surgeries, preventative care, lameness exams/sport horse medicine, regenerative therapies, and reproductive services, in a nearly 20,000 sq ft climate-controlled building with two operating rooms and two induction/recovery stalls for each OR, enclosed and covered lameness areas, 23 climate-controlled stalls, 4 ICU stalls, an additional 21 covered stalls, multiple examination areas, podiatry facility, and on-site living quarters.
We engage the latest technologies including digital radiography, lameness locator, ultrasonography, shock wave therapy, gastroscopy/endoscopy, dynamic endoscopy, regenerative therapies, inhalant anesthesia with invasive blood pressure monitoring, a full diagnostic laboratory, 24-hr technician support, and were the first practice to offer high field MRI in the central US.
