Montpelier Veterinary Hospital in Montpelier, Vermont seeks a mixed or small animal practitioner for our growing mixed animal practice. We are seeking to fill this position in 2024 or in 2025, and 2025 graduates are encouraged to apply.
We are a veterinarian owned, full service practice serving central Vermont. We pride ourselves on client-centered care that hinges on integrity, honesty, teamwork, and a goal to offer the best care for our patients. Our 5 doctor practice is currently comprised of 60% small animal patients, however, the dairy, beef, small ruminant, and equine components of our practice are growing. We take pride in providing our own emergency services and prefer a veterinarian who will join an after hours emergency rotation. We are a great fit for a new or recent graduate that could grow with our practice, and our veterinarians can provide excellent mentorship.
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital was purchased in 2018 as an established small animal practice with the intent to expand as a true mixed practice. If you would like to know your clients and their pets by name, work up advanced medicine cases, expand your surgery skills, and learn something new about medicine every day, we want to meet you.
We are located in central Vermont within a 45 minute drive of 4 major ski resorts, several world-renowned microbreweries, an international airport, and expansive trail networks for hiking, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling.
Our hospital is equipped with all the equipment you would expect, including stationary and portable DR radiography, in house CBC/chem/UA, 3 meter scope, small animal and repro ultrasound, 2 field vehicles, etc.
Schedule is a 4 day work week. Benefits include a competitive salary (or prosal, situation dependent), emergency compensation, dues and licenses, 401k with match, insurances, paid vacation, CE allowance, flexible schedule.
