Beacon Veterinary Specialists is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) supporting our Internal Medicine (IM) team. We are offering a competitive wage of $35 - $45/hr, plus up to an $8,000 signing bonus and relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our Internal Medicine team, playing a crucial role in ensuring exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do:
Support diagnostic ultrasound appointments by preparing patients, assisting with positioning, and ensuring accurate imaging.
Monitor and manage anesthesia for a variety of complex internal medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Collect and process samples for diagnostics, including bloodwork, cytology, and biopsies, with precision and efficiency.
Collaborate with internal medicine specialists and other team members to provide exceptional patient care throughout diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up.
Educate clients on pre-procedure preparation, post-procedure care, and medication administration as directed by the veterinarian.
Qualifications:
Active RVT license in California, or eligibility to obtain before the start date.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician supporting a veterinary internal medicine service.
Proficient in advanced anesthesia monitoring.
Hands-on experience assisting with endoscopy procedures, including bronchoscopy, gastrointestinal, and rhinoscopy cases.
Familiarity with diagnostic ultrasound setup and patient support during imaging procedures.
Strong technical skills in sample collection, catheter placement, and lab processing.
Experience in client communication, including pre-and post-procedure instructions and updates.
Dedication to high standards of patient care and safety in a collaborative team environment.
