Newark Veterinary Hospital, a privately owned, AAHA-Accredited Small Animal and Exotic Hospital, is looking for a full-time or part-time veterinarian to add to our amazing team. We focus on providing excellent patient care while also giving the pet parent the guidance and information that they need to make informed choices for their pets’ care. We have a strong connection to our community and forge relationships with our clients that last through the life of their many pets. We place a strong emphasis on preventive medical care and have vast knowledge to treat medical and surgical problems to keep the pet healthy and with their family as long as possible.
We are looking for an associate who wants to be a part of a team, work in close collaboration with the staff and clients to formulate treatment plans, learn new things and always grow, practice the highest quality medicine, and have fun. We place a strong emphasis on teamwork and honest communication with clients and each other, as these are some of our strongest core values. We work hard when we are in the hospital but are aware of the strains of veterinary medicine on our employees, so we cater to emotional and physical health as well. Our new associate will be able to have work-life balance with a 4-day workweek, no after hours on call, and no weekend hours.
Our hospital has all of the amenities you could hope for to practice amazing medicine and surgery including: full in-house Idexx laboratory with Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue, Snap Pro(s), digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, Companion Therapy Laser, high speed dental unit, full on-site and online pharmacy. We can provide care for most medical and surgical cases but are not afraid to refer the cases that are beyond our scope of care to the local board-certified specialty hospitals.
About Newark Veterinary Hospital:
Newark Veterinary Hospital is located in Newark, Ohio. Newark is a short 20 miles from Columbus. Newark Veterinary Hospital was started in May, 2013 by Dr. Jodi Houser. She is a 2006 graduate from The Ohio State University who worked in mixed animal and then small animal exclusive hospitals prior to opening her own hospital. Newark Veterinary Hospital focuses on high standards of medical care with personal touch to our pet parents. We are, after all, the other family doctor.
Our hospital is located in a free-standing building and has all of the equipment needed to provide the highest level of medical care. The hospital has multiple exam rooms, radiology suite, a comfort room, a dedicated surgery suite, hospital, treatment area, laboratory, and staff offices.
If you are interested in exotics, this is the hospital for you! We see any species of pet that will fit through the door. The hospital is located in Newark, Ohio which is a small town within 20 miles of Columbus. Licking County is a rapidly growing business community but still has the small town feel. Within a short distance are many hiking trails, state parks, lakes, and golf courses for those who enjoy being outdoors. For those who enjoy history, museums, or arts, there are many opportunities to see those things as well. Columbus boasts several professional and semi-professional sports teams to watch as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes, excellent dining and shopping, and the famous Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Just an hour drive is The Wilds!
