Barnes Lake Veterinary Center (BLVC) is a beautiful modern small animal practice that opened in September of 2022, and is located just 30 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA. BLVC is privately owned and is looking for an associate veterinarian that is eager to join a practice that cares about its team and promotes a work-life balance. In this role you will have the ability to help build our team, standards of care, and reputation.
We provide a full range of services for our feline and canine patients and are open to adding more services. Currently, our warm and inviting facility includes a large waiting room/ reception area with a recessed dog scale, 4 comfortable exams rooms (3 with wall mounted folding tables, 1 room with a lift table, and 1 lift table in the treatment area), 1 large surgical suite, 1 dental suite with digital dental radiology, and a full digital radiology suite off of the open floor plan treatment area. In our lab area we have the newest in-house analyzers from IDEXX. We also have a handheld ultrasound unit, an in-house pharmacy, and online pharmacy. We use Ezyvet veterinary software and are a paper-light facility.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
Licensed veterinarian in the State of Pennsylvania, and in good standings with the medical board
Ethical, pleasant, responsive, and willing to collaborate with our team
Patience with animals and people
Ability to work through and solve problems
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
Strictly follows security regulations to protect patient's medical information
At least 1 year of post graduate work experience as a licensed veterinarian
