VCA Valley Animal Medical Center & Emergency Hospital is excited to offer a new structure for our emergency department. We are looking for emergency veterinarians to fill multiple different ER roles appropriate for new graduates all the way to experienced ER doctors. New graduates, or “new to ER” veterinarians, can earn up to $150,000 and receive four weeks of paid time off, with an ER mentorship program to get you started. More experienced veterinarians can earn up to $250,000 and up to seven weeks of paid time off, with a variety of schedule options available.

Our 10,000 square foot facility boasts a team of approximately 65 support staff and doctors, all dedicated to our mission “Where Your Pets’ Health is our Top Priority and Excellent Service is our Goal.” We have a collaborative, team approach to medicine and are proud to be the premier provider of veterinary emergency services in the Coachella Valley. Our facility includes a CT Scanner, continuous EKG monitoring, Doppler BP, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment including CBC, chemistry, coagulation testing, endoscopy (gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, and cystoscopy), laparoscopy, tonometry, digital radiography; electrocautery, a full complement of soft tissue and orthopedic surgical equipment and much more! As the only small animal emergency clinic within 100 miles, we have a unique caseload and opportunity to serve our community.
In addition to our Emergency Clinicians, we have specialists in Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oncology, and Radiology available.

Who are we looking for?
In order to meet our growing community’s needs, we are looking for primary receiving emergency doctors as well as hospitalists, with all shifts available. Choose your path! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow, be supported, and work within a large emergency hospital. The schedule is a combination of day or night and swing shifts, with rotating holiday and weekend schedules.
