Mill Plain Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1989 by our medical director, Dr. Sheldon Steinmetz and his wife Cookie. They have been providing the highest standard of care to Fairfield County since then, making Mill Plain a staple in the community. We have many long term clientele who are excellent about following recommendations and doing all that is necessary for their pets.
Mill Plain is a full-service small animal hospital, offering the best in medical and surgical care. To support this, we have full in house labs, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, and endoscopy. We have a large surgery caseload and all of our doctors perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and Dr. Steinmetz also performs orthopedic procedures. Furthermore, our support staff are very experienced and have an amazing skill set, which enables our doctors to be incredibly efficient and get out of work on time!
