Do you want to work at a practice that values your work/life balance, that prioritizes its employees, that offers paid PTO for veterinarians, with no on-call? Do you want clients who will allow you to perform your recommended patient care? If you are looking for a positive and supportive work environment, then Highlands Animal Clinic is for you!
We are looking for an experienced general practitioner, interested in a varied caseload, for our very busy general practice. We partner with mobile specialists, including cardiologists, radiologists and surgeons, to provide the latest and most up-to-date standards of care for our patients. We also provide in-house blood work, digital full-body and dental X-ray, laser therapy, CBD options, and acupuncture. Located in the heart of the highly desirable Highlands neighborhood, our unique practice is in a two-story Victorian home that has been converted, as well as a separate surgery suite in the bungalow next door. Established in 2013 by Dr. Allison Jenkins, Highlands Animal Clinic has become a beloved part of the local Highlands community.
Our team is low-drama, compassionate yet practical, and growing quickly. We are protective and supportive of our staff and are currently practicing a Curbside Care protocol for the safety of our employees and our client community. Face coverings are currently required internally by all employees while inside the building, and the same goes for clients when interacting with our staff.
We offer a competitive benefit package including PTO; health insurance; 401K match; CE allowance for licensing, memberships and education; and, of course, pet care benefits for your own pets. The schedule is 4 days per week and one Saturday shift per month.
What we expect from you:
Proficient in Preventive Veterinary Care
Experience with elective surgeries, including spay, neuter, mass removal, other minor procedures
Comfortable with dentistry
Efficient medical case work-up
Compassionate client communication
Team-oriented value system and work ethic
DEA license preferred but not required
Current CO DVM license
Current PLIT (renewal can be reimbursed once employed)
We would love to talk to you and determine whether Highlands Animal Clinic might be the next chapter in your veterinary career!
