Associate Veterinarian

Come grow with us!  VCA Delmarva Animal Hospital, a growing practice located in beautiful Berlin, Maryland, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our 3-doctor, AAHA-certified, feline friendly team!

We have been established in this community for over 30 years. We offer our clients a high standard of care and we believe in educating our clients so they can make the best medical choices for their pets. Our highly skilled support staff play an integral role in supporting our doctors and providing excellent medical care to our patients and a high level of customer service to our clients.

We have 5 exam rooms and ample equipment to compliment your skills and knowledge so you can practice the high level of medicine to which you are accustomed. Our practice is focused on small animals and has a quickly growing patient population of exotic companion mammals, birds and reptiles.  We handle all types of appointments from wellness and emergency to patients requiring hospitalization. We routinely use laser therapy, our in house lab, digital x-ray and ultrasound as tools to help our patients. 

We're happy to provide mentorship to a newer doctor or support an experienced doctor with pursuing their special interests! We're looking for someone who likes surgery including dental prophies, spay/neuters, mass removals, etc.  Interest in seeing exotics is preferred, but not required!

Our ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy working with animals and their owners and want to be part of a fun, interactive team. Good communication skills and the ability to handle a steady patient load while maintaining a good sense of humor are encouraged.  Our strong mentorship capabilities and nurturing team approach will help anyone interested in succeeding learn how to make a positive impact on the overall quality of life for pets.

We are 15-20 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and the Ocean City resort area.  Ocean City is known for its beaches, amusements, and night life.  South of Ocean City, Assateague Island boasts wild ponies, and national and state seashores.  Our town, Berlin, was voted "Coolest Small Town in America" a few years ago, and is known for its role in a few movies - the most famous is "Runaway Bride".  Berlin hosts many great community events (art, music, family), and is also home to an award-winning microbrewery.
