MD Petcare Animal Clinic is the Arizona Animal Welfare League's premier low cost veterinary clinic. Our mission is to be a supportive and valuable resource for pet guardians, by providing a lower cost option for veterinary care. We believe that by providing this service, pet guardians may be able to provide both vital and routine veterinary care for their companion animals, thereby reducing the necessity of surrendering their pet to the shelter.

We are looking for a full-time staff veterinarian for MD PetCare. The veterinarian should have a good knowledge of private practice standard procedures - the scope of knowledge should also include, but not limited to, physical exams, treatment procedures, dentals, mass removals, and spay/neuter.
Responsibilities will include but are not restricted to the following:
Assist in training veterinary techs.
Ensure accurate recordkeeping in the computerized medical records system.
Work cooperatively with other veterinarians, the CEO, medical staff and department managers.

The Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA is a limited-intake shelter intaking about 4,300 animals annually. Our medical team provides leadership and direction not only to the shelter clinic and staff but is also responsible for AAWL's low-cost clinic which provides affordable vet care to the public. In addition, our medical team provides help and assistance to other rescue operations and shelters in rural areas of the state, serving as consultants and partners in all areas of operation. Our goal is to be innovative and a leader in the animal welfare sector and an important resource for partners throughout the state of Arizona
