Veterinary Medical Associates in Greendale, Wisconsin, is interested in adding a part-time or full-time veterinarian to our staff. Greendale is a well-established safe city located south of Milwaukee within 15 minutes of downtown Milwaukee. The community has an excellent school system, a superb park system, convenient shopping areas, and affordable excellent housing. We are dedicated to serving the community by contributing to the school systems, community functions, and charitable groups of the area as well as serving the client needs of the area. The practice is a single owner business which has been part of the community since the early 60’s. Our facility has been completely renovated over the past 15 years enhancing the appearance and improving the work environment. Our team atmosphere and the emphasis on work-life balance has resulted in a high retention rate of both veterinarians and support staff. Three veterinarians have been with the practice for over 20 years, one recent hire has been with the practice for 2 years, and one will be retiring this summer. Over half of our non-veterinary staff has been with the practice for 24 years. Our technical staff is highly qualified and cross trained to cover any station within the practice. The client base is well established and new clients are received regularly. Our objective is to serve clients who desire the most up-to-date medical techniques and knowledge while receiving compassionate one-on-one care. We do not run specials or offer discount coupons. Our fees are designed to adequately reward the staff for the services provided and the medicine and products dispensed. We make every effort to have each client feel that their pet has received services consistent with the fee for the service. We work as a team and are compensated as a team. The veterinarians and the non-veterinary staff all have a vested interest in the practice because their compensation is based upon the hours worked and the gross income generated by the practice for the pay period. Veterinarians are paid on an hourly basis. The hourly salary will vary on average from $40.00 - $60.00. Veterinarians do not compete for individual gross production. This promotes an environment which allows the veterinary staff to function as a team, discuss cases, and when needed, cover an associate’s case without the concern of who will be credited for the income. Our appointments vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour based on the medical concern. A few of the specialty services offered are acupuncture, nutritional therapy, therapy laser, co2 laser surgery, digital ultrasound, digital radiology, and in-house laboratory services. We promote continued education and encourage any veterinarian to develop an additional specialty service. The opportunity exists for an incoming veterinarian to potentially become the owner of this well-established practice if desired. For further information, please access our web page at veterinarymedicalassociates.com. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the position in person or by telephone (414-421-1800 Option 1). Resumes can be submitted by email to email@example.com, faxed to 414-421-2584, or mailed to Attn: Eric A Munson DVM, Veterinary Medical Associates Inc., 6210 Industrial Court, Greendale, WI 53129.
