Experienced candidates are preferred but exceptional new graduates will receive consideration. This successful candidate will see primarily ambulatory cases throughout southern NJ and (to a more limited extent) Eastern PA. We also see some cases at our hospital facility in Eastampton, NJ on a haul-in basis. The majority of cases equine and pet livestock species.
Applicants should be comfortable seeing routine wellness and sick appointments independently. We treat a wide variety of large animals including horses, small ruminants, pet pigs, camelids, and a smaller number of bovine species. Applicants with experience with equine emergency care will receive preference. A candidate with experience in small ruminant surgery would be ideal but this is not a requirement.
Emergency on-call coverage participation is required.
The practice offers a fast-paced but fun work environment with a wide variety of case exposure. This is a low-drama practice with wonderful support staff. We are equipped with portable digital x-ray (including digital dental x-ray), ultrasound, electrocautery, CO2 surgical laser, 1- and 3-meter endoscopes, SAA, lactate, in-house IDEXX labs (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue), in-house pharmacy, three fully-stocked ambulatory vehicles, gas anesthesia and advanced anesthetic monitoring (ECG, BP, SpO2, Temp, CO2), and access to consulting specialists in cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology that see cases at our facilities. We strive to offer clients access to the latest in veterinary care at affordable prices.
