About Torigen Pharmaceuticals Torigen is a private equity funded company delivering innovative and affordable companion animal immuno-oncology products for pets. Located in Farmington, Connecticut at the University of Connecticut Technology Incubation Program, Torigen is committed to developing innovative veterinary cancer treatments. We are in search of a Technical Services Veterinarian to be one of the forward faces of our company speaking and presenting to other veterinarians on behalf of Torigen. This individual will be seen as a valuable resource evaluating clinical data, reviewing patient histopathology reports, ensuring patient data is complete and would be able to help present at conferences and to veterinary clinics with training. This role will require great customer service interaction and travel up to 20% of the time. The successful candidate will report to the VP of Oncology Business Development. Role Responsibilities - Discussing clinical opportunities with veterinary oncologists and surgeons
- Handling customer interactions from both pet owners and veterinarians
- Gathering and distilling clinical information for publication
- Presenting at conferences and to veterinary practices
- Closely collaborate with our vaccine production and R&D teams
- Manage distribution of histopathology reports
- Be seen as a leader and respected resource within the veterinary community
- Provide effective leadership. Eventually manage problems, assign work to ensure right allocation and availability of resources, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues
- Provide insight and recommendations to executive committee and board of directors regarding opportunities, successes and key learnings based on the research and data analysis of clinics, markets and competition
Qualifications - DVM required
- Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time
- Outstanding customer relationship building ability and management skills
- Special preference to those with background in oncology or immunology
- Ability to perform work critically and accurately
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
The preferred person for this role should also possess the following skills: - Strong in-person meeting and presentation skills
- Ability to utilize a wide range of communication channels, including traditional channels, and the ability to creatively identify and facilitate the use of others
- Comfort in presenting to peers
- 3-5+ years of clinical veterinarian experience
- Must be well organized, capture work details and continuously learn
- Must be a team player and able to work with cross-functional roles
- Must be willing to foster a positive work environment and innovative culture
About the department The position is based out of UCONN Health located in Farmington, CT.
