Kendall Road Equine hospital is offering an externship to current veterinary students interested in gaining experiencnce in an Equine medicine and surgery practice. 

This is a hands on externship experience. Externs will assist the veterinarians with diagnosis and treatment of outpatients, surgeries and emergencies. Also assist with the daily care, feeding and treatment of in hospital patients. Participate in rounds and case discussions when they are held. Also will use cadavers to demonstrate joint injections, surgeries etc when time and materials are available.

Most students stay 2 to 4 weeks but any time frame is acceptable. Bring your stethescope, enthusiasm and  curiosisty with you and expect to get dirty. Please email for more information and to reserve your dates. Send the dates you are interested in and if there are more then one option give the order that you would prefer and we will try to accomodate you. Also we will need to know if you want to use the available room. 

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: There is an air conditioned/heated room available for one student at a time. There are shower and bathroom, laundry, internet, fridge and microwave available as well.
