PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES: Zoetis Values: Align with and demonstrate Zoetis Core Beliefs in everything you do. Matrix Management: Work effectively and collaboratively with sales, marketing, veterinary professional operations and sales learning. Sales Area Support: Partner with Area Business Manager to successfully achieve Area’s Business Plan (e.g. collaborate and communicate effectively with ABM, positively influence customers, support sales colleague development through coaching aligned with technical and business opportunities/strengths). Inquiries/Complaints: Provide sound technical advice on routine inquires. Respond effectively to customer complaints and fulfill regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines with respect to adverse event reporting. Customer Support: Assess and understand customer needs and flex (approach, communication style, content, method of delivery) as needed to effectively meet those needs. Customer interactions may include formal presentations, roundtable discussion facilitation, one to one conversations/communications etc.). Marketing Support: As requested, contribute to the development of technical presentations/materials marketing plans/materials. Review sales materials for technical accuracy, medical appropriateness and utility to practitioners. Training/Education: Present technical seminars to colleagues within Zoetis and support Sales Learning Team as required. Professional Organization / University Liaison: Attend selected VMAs and professional organization meetings; As needed, establish relationship with key organizations to promote and enhance image of Zoetis. Projects/Tasks: Actively participate on Zoetis project teams, as needed. Complete any other work related tasks as assigned by the Director, Zoetis Petcare Veterinary Professional Services Team. Personal Development: Stay current in assigned areas of veterinary medicine; with Manager, formulate and implement personal development plan.
REQUIRED JOB RELATED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent Current state license in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in the United States 3+ years post DVM/VMD experience in clinical practice, academia, research, military or industry including at least 2 or more years of small animal general clinical practice Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong relationship building skills.
Ability to travel (intraweek and occasional weekend travel required) PREFERRED CANDIDATE EXPERIENCES/QUALIFICATIONS: Experience presenting educational programs
