Seeking a full time small animal and exotic veterinarian to join our 7 doctor practice in Harford County, Maryland. This is a very busy place with much opportunity to manage internal medicine cases as well as perform many surgical procedures. You will see and do and learn a lot! Because exotics is one of the biggest draws of this practice, candidate must have a strong desire to work with many types of small animals. Well rounded knowledge of exotic animal medicine. Dogs and cats assumed to be proficient.
Excellent and friendly "bedside" manner towards clients.
Ability to perform various soft tissue surgical procedures (gastrotomy, splenectomy, enterotomy, cystotomy, etc.)
Be able to make decisions confidently and independently. The doctors routinely go over more challenging cases with each other, however, candidate is expected to be able to contribute to treatment plans.

This is a small animal practice which is 60% dog and cat, 40% exotic (birds, small mammals, reptiles, wildlife,
