Veterinarian with advanced training in anesthesiology. Board eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia or the European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia is required; board certification is preferred.
Clinical experience and competence in veterinary anesthesiology is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching is required. Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. The position has a 75% clinical commitment to the Anesthesiology Service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required before employment (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857). Individuals not eligible for a full California license must obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1) by the time of appointment.
