Our small animal hospital in upstate NY is searching for the right associate to join our team. We have two experienced veterinarians who would like to mentor a new graduate and develop a long term working relationship. We expect to initially have an experienced veterinarian working at the same time as our newest doctor at all times. We will change that dynamic when you feel ready! The ideal associate is a team player who appreciates the importance of the staff and other doctors, and wishes to work in a collaborative environment while still maintaining independence. We are a small, private hospital with most of the bells & whistles (dental digital X-rays, ultrasound, Cardell monitors, etc.), and none of the corporate stress. We utilize nearby emergency hospitals for after hours calls. 30 minute appointments allow for plenty of time to work cases up and get to know clients, but our new graduate would start with 60 minute appointments until comfortable. We encourage and support individual interests. We strive to offer a schedule that is most in line with our individual veterinarians wants and needs and provides ample time for a life outside of work. For a new graduate, we would offer a 4 day work week and two Saturdays mornings monthly. Our veterinarians can expect a daily lunch break, and are usually able to leave the building within a few minutes of closing each day.
In addition to an excellent work life balance and salary, we offer a signing/moving bonus, 140 hours PTO annually, great pet benefits, all routine dues paid, up to $2000 annually for CE, and annual raises based on production.
Additional Salary Information: This is a starting salary only.
