We have two Full-Time doctors and are looking to add two other associates, Full-Time or Part-Time, to continue our growth. Our clients are educated and bonded to the practice, and many families have their third generation of pets as our patients. Our lead technician is a Licensed Veterinary Technician, two others are in LVT programs, and three staffers are Certified Veterinary Assistants. Two technicians are certified in Quick-Scan ultrasound for remote interpretation.
We certified as an AAHA accredited clinic this past year. One technician lives on site, permitting overnight hospitalization, continued care, and re-evaluation for certain patients.
Our focus is client-centric, whole patient medicine, which we accomplish through strong relationships with local specialist. Our owners care deeply about their pets, allowing us to find the answer to puzzling cases.
In addition to our medical patients, there is a considerable dental and surgical opportunities. The owner has a strong interest in behavioral medicine, and our newest associate offers acupuncture. Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital is a growing, AAHA-certified, two-doctor practice that will be expanding its facility with commitments to Fear Free management and certification. The practice focuses on feline, canine, avian, and exotic companion pets. Pluses: your focus on general surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, dermatology, or exotic medicine. Nearby are three specialty practices and three 24-hour critical care centers with which we maintain strong collegial relationships.
The clinic possesses an Oncura ultrasound, Sound digital radiography, Eva-Vet digital dental radiography, multiple intravenous lines to medical cages, anesthesia monitor (SpO2, SpCO2, & ECG/BP/Temp), and advanced surgical & medical pain management. Our in-house lab equipment includes IDEXX blood electrolyte & chemistry and Laser-Cyte hematology instruments, which integrate into the AVImark Office paperless software. We are in the process -- nearly complete -- of transitioning thousands of existing paper records to electronic medical records (EMRs).
Many of the experienced support staff are Fear Free certified and consists of Lead Licence Veterinary Technician, five Veterinary Technic...ians (four enrolled in L.V.T. classes) three Certified Veterinary Assistants, five Customer Service Representatives, four administrative, includes two full-time equivalent, one groomer, three full-time kennel, plus 1.5 dozen part-time kennel assistants, all cross-trained & motivated. Late night care by an onsite technician allows more advanced, in-hospital cases, which in turn affords better medicine and increased gross revenue.
