Practice Manager for West Fargo Animal Hospital in West Fargo, ND
Dr. Amy Anderson & Dr. Carrie Summerfield of the West Fargo Animal Hospital located in beautiful West Fargo, North Dakota are seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to join their modern, full service veterinary hospital. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, or possess a strong interest in achieving certification in the near future.
The West Fargo Animal Hospital prides itself on client education and delivering excellent customer service. We stress preventative care, dentistry, exceptional medical workups & treatments, surgery, as well as behavior and nutrition counseling. As a full-service hospital, we feature an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, as well as a highly trained support staff. Our LVT to DVM ratio is greater than 1:1, and our Staff to DVM ratio is greater than 3:1.
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership qualities, the ability to work independently and the desire to help refine our team's potential. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required and experience with Cornerstone software is highly valued.
At least 3 years of veterinary practice management experience is preferred, as is a BA/BS in a business related field. The ideal candidate will be a CVPM, or CVPM eligible. Experienced managers with either a PHR or SHRM-CP human resources certification are also encouraged to apply. Individuals interested in the position must be compassionate, cheerful, possess strong leadership skills and have a good work ethic.
Responsibilities include day-to-day operations with major focus on strong human resources & personnel management responsibilities including hiring, training and leading the team. A strong commitment to client service skills is imperative to be successful in this position. Other valuable experience includes strong initiative, enjoyment of a job well done, ability to work independently, knowledge of billing, payroll, accounts receivable, inventory control, and experience holding staff meetings and conducting performance reviews.
Strong leadership, time management and communication skills are a must. Successful applicants must be able to adequately assess the overall performance of the practice, participate in the establishment and achievement of goals, analyze and implement new services, products or procedures, and present data and ideas for improvement to the practice owners.
Our hospital is located in the heart of West Fargo, ND which is a part of the Fargo-Moorhead region. The area is a fast-growing, cultural hub of the northern plains. Our city boasts excellent schools, recreation facilities, and entertainment. Minnesota is a short 10 minute drive to the east, and South Dakota is an easy 60 minute drive to the south. The Hector International Airport is only 15 minutes away.
