Provide human resources leadership in the operation of a small animal specialty and emergency hospital (with three locations) whose success is primarily derived by exceptional service. Working in conjunction with the Hospital Administrator and Practice Managers, must be able to effectively and proactively manage, delegate or perform the following: payroll, time tracking and overtime management; health insurance and retirement benefits; develop and institute employee incentive/bonuses programs; source professional development and continuing education for the doctors, management, and paraprofessional staff. Experience with wage and hour laws, alternative work week schedules, and 24 hour shift work in a service business strongly preferred.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, exhibit leadership and organizational confidence, and the ability to present material to large and small groups. Bachelor’s degree and advanced training with certification in human resources is required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a human resources management position is necessary. Recent experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus.
