-Previous veterinary technician experience is a plus.
-Excellent technical skills a plus, ex. sample collection, venipuncture, catheter placement and restraint.
-MS Word, Excel.
-Good team player.
-Excellent communication and organization skills.
-Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
-Must be able to work independently.

Applicants that have at least 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital or be a certified veterinary technician will be preferred. Technicians are expected to utilize their technical skills: venipuncture, place IV catheters, take digital radiographs, follow surgery & dental protocols as well as perform dental prophys and dental radiographs, perform laboratory tests, & use proper animal restraint. Additionally, applicants should have excellent communication skills to confidently & professionally complete telephone call-backs & provide client education. Most importantly, Technicians should love serving the clients and their pets!

Proficient in Blood/Fecal/Urine Collection, Excellent Oral/Written Communication with Clients/Nursing Staff/Doctors (brief, clear, timely), Safe Patient Restraint for Lab Specimen Collection/Doctor Exam/Medication Administration, Proficient in Medication Administration (SQ/IM/IV/PO/Rectally/Topically), Excellent Record Keeping Skills, Knowledge of Vaccines Based on Risk/Species/Age, Knowledge of Heartworm/Flea Prevention, Knowledge of Diets Based on Disease/Life Stage, Knowledge of Drugs/Indications, Dependable, Works well with others, punctual, Excellent work ethic and attitude.
