Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS) is looking for Emergency Doctors to join our expanding team.
VSS is the largest private specialty practice in the state and growing. We have 7 specialty practice areas in the hospital: Emergency/Critical Care, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Oncology. We have a highly trained team of technicians and support staff.
Our Emergency Critical Care department consists of 3 Board Certified Criticalists, a resident and a team of Emergency Doctors. Our criticalists supply backup 24/7 for our Emergency Doctors and provide significant training/support for new graduates. Our ECC team runs 24 hours with a strong referral base seeing primary incoming emergencies, manages patients hospitalized in the ICU, and works closely with the other departments to assist in their incoming emergencies. We are dedicated to excellent patient care and client service. The entire hospital works closely on cases and has a team-oriented approach to patient care. Our ER doctors work nights, weekends and holidays.
Our facility is equipped with the most advanced technology including on site MRI, CT, Seimens Ventilator, full in house bloodwork/blood gas, Idexx laboratory (on site), fluoroscopy, and physical therapy. The ICU is ‘open admission’ as patients are admitted into the ICU from all departments.
