As a member of our highly skilled vaccine clinic team, the DVM is responsible for performing physical exams, drawing blood for heartworm and FIV/FeLV tests, administering vaccines, prescribing heartworm prevention, flea prevention and deworming. Great client communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to improve the lives of pets are a must.
Summary of essential functions:
Provide high-quality preventative care to vaccine clinic patients. Speak to patrons regarding the importance of spay and neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, heartworm and flea preventative, basic pet care, positive behavior modification, etc. Recognize the impact of providing low-cost veterinary care in our community and further the Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic mission by representing CHQFPC appropriately. Work, communicate and interact professionally with all staff members and clients as part of a fast-paced and highly-efficient clinic team. Demonstrate low-stress animal handling skills. Communicate and follow safety and hazard procedures. Work collaboratively with management, medical, animal care, customer service and volunteer staff.
Wellness clinics are every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We open the doors and allow people to start checking in 30 minutes before scheduled start time and see all patients checked in by scheduled ending time each day.

We are a not-for-profit high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary June 11th and reached our 50,000th spay/neuter procedure this past May. Our mission is to reduce the euthanasia rate in and around the St. Louis Metropolitan area by providing affordable and accessible services.
