Fourmile Veterinary Clinic, a mixed animal practice in south central Colorado, is looking to add an Associate Veterinarian to the to the team! This is a family owned practice that has been serving the community for over 40 years and we love giving the best possible care to our clients and their pets.
The position available entails a truly mixed animal experience with an approximate 70:30 ratio, small to large animal mix. We are interested in anyone with small animal experience, small/large animal experience or small/ equine experience. As a family oriented business model, the working schedule is an alternating 5 day and 4 day work week (i.e. Mon - Fri alternating with Mon - Thurs). Emergency call (out of hours) rotation is required and at current time is every 6th week.
The practice moved to a new, larger facility in 2010 that features indoor and outdoor equine stalls, indoor and outdoor cattle chutes, padded large animal surgery suite, indoor equine stocks, digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house lab, small animal treatment area, small animal surgery and more. We prefer that the applicant have at least 3 years’ experience that has a strong but friendly voice that is only comfortable practicing the highest possible standard of care.
The practice is located in a smaller community that is within a 45-minute drive of big city amenities in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The location allows access to endless outdoor activities including, but not limited to: skiing, lake and river fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping, white water sports, rock climbing, hunting and so much more. Dr. Don Ley opened Fourmile Veterinary Clinic’s doors in 1975 at 151 Fourmile Laneto service Fremont Counties’ large and small animals needs. For the next 26 years he practiced as a solo veterinarian. In 2001 Dr. Don Ley’s son Jeremy Ley, DVM joined the practice, and his sister Samantha Menegatti, DVM followed in the family footsteps in 2005.
